Each year, WFCS awards from one to five $500.00 Scholarships
to area High School Seniors that plan on entering into an
Environmental Field of Study in College, such as Environmental Sciences, Forestry, Conservation Law, etc.

Scholarships are awarded based on a number of different criteria, including overall
grades and the completion of a written essay on an Environmental Topic
of the Applicant's choice.

All Applicant submissions are reviewed independently by a panel of
impartial judges and Scholarships are awarded to the applicants with the highest
overall scores.

Notifications and postings are distributed to all of the Participating Area School Districts at the
appropriate time of the school year so that submissions can be reviewed and Scholarships
awarded in a timely manner.
